Kia ora, Kiwi Experience!  Here's a quick 2-minute video to show you why I am a "legend" - I hope you enjoy it!  I'd like to explain a couple of the pictures that you'll see in there: the tattoo on my ribcage is a Maori koru of greens and blues (just like the hills and the oceans of NZ, of course!), and I had 2 dots tattooed beside it to make it look like a bass clef (fitting for a musician like myself!).  The car picture is to show you my super cool license plate - "KA PAI" - love it!

I want to send a huge thank you to Kiwi Experience and THL for offering such an amazing opportunity.  What an incredible prize package - a "legendary" experience, to say the least!  I had a ton of fun making this video for all of you, and the whole process has just served to make me even more excited to get back there in only 6 months.  It has been over 2 years since I did my Music Education internship in Lower Hutt, and now the countdown is on for my return to my "home away from home."  Love you guys, and see you in July!  AROHANUI!!!

I think that Lauren is a legend because she truly has the most amazing personality ever. She is quite possibly one of the most talented people I have ever met. Even with the level of talent that she possesses she remains a down-to-earth genuinely caring individual. There are so many reasons that I believe Lauren is a legend and I hope she knows that she is loved for all she does for others :) Good luck Lauren! Miss you!!!

Aloha Kiwi Experience!
I have got a question for you. Do you want a person to win who would take full advantage of this amazing opportunity? A person who would not only LOVE every minute of this trip, but also seize every chance to see and be a part of NZ? Well then my dear friend Lauren should be your winner. She would represent the Kiwi Experience to the max with her vivacious spirit and all around enthusiam for life. 

As you can see from her video, Lauren the Legend has many great character traits, but her passion for living life to the fullest is what I believe would fuel her most on this adventure. Let me explain. Lauren and I met at a little place called IMC almost a decade ago. My first impression of her was that she was a real go getter, and through the years she has proven that statement to be correct. She just has a passion for life that is evident in all that she does from her profession as a music teacher to her adventures as a world traveller; she has a tendancy to inspire those around her with her positive attitude. That positivity is why I'm posting this comment, and also why I'd love to see her win.

In closing I'd just like to share one of our inside jokes. Back at IMC we came up with a list of crazy things. Crazy meaning freak occurences that would be mind blowing and amazing to witness. Crazy like a horse galloping backwards, or crazy like a square ferris wheel. Or my personal favorite crazy like telling someone they are "on a roll!" and then realizing that they are actually on an oversized dinner roll. Well, I'd like to make an addition to said list of crazy things. Crazy like Lauren the Legend winning a trip to NZ from the AMAZING Kiwi Experience!
