Kiwi Experience Terms and Conditions
1. Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience travel passes are valid for travel in one direction over the sector which the pass name refers to from the first date of travel for up to a 12 month period; or until the pass holder has travelled once over all sections of the travel pass, within the 12 month period. For Kiwi Experience national passes featuring the ‘Unlimited travel’ entitlement, refer to conditions below (point 18)
2. First day of travel must commence within 12 months of the date of pass purchase.
3. Travel agent vouchers or website E-Tickets must be exchanged for the appropriate Experience ticket before the holder is able to travel on a Kiwi Experience or Feejee Experience service.
4. Expired passes can be extended for a further period for a fee of NZD$50 per 3 month period of extension. Extension of pass validity must be requested prior to expiry date.
5. All passengers whom purchase a ‘Tribal Loop’ pass on the Feejee Experience must have completed the ‘Tribewanted’ sector of the pass by 30 September 2009 as this eco-tourism project may have to be returned to the native Fijian people on or after this date.
6. Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen tickets. Upon proof of purchase, a replacement ticket will be issued by Experience’s office or driver guides only, and a NZD$25.00 re-issue fee will apply.
7. Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
8. Cancellation policy for all bookings: NZ$200. Where the value of the ticket is less than $200 (currency of original booking) the cancellation fee is equivalent to the cost of the ticket.
9. Travel reservations are required and should be made at least 48 hours before departure to assure a seat. Changes of confirmation travel dates must be made at least 24 hours prior to departure changes by contacting our reservations department. 10. No Shows NZ/Fiji: Should a passenger fail to show for a booked and confirmed departure from any point the passengers ticket will become void until a NZD$50.00 penalty is paid to reinstate the validity of the ticket.
11. Kiwi Experience encourages our Driver Guides to take photographs of our passengers having a wicked time. We reserve the right to use these photographs in for promotional purposes without further consent or payment required.
12. All fares, routes, pricing, inclusions and departure times are subject to alterations without notice. Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience reserves the right to substitute other vehicles in place of their own in circumstances beyond their control. Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience product inclusions will be operated where possible and we will not be liable for cancellations due to weather, political, religious or other cultural/tribal reasons which may occur given the environment we operate within.
13. Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience will endeavour to adhere to stated departure and arrival times but will not be liable for any failure to meet those times or cancellations due to weather or any other conditions.
14. Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of or consequential upon, directly or indirectly, an abandonment of, delay in departure or delay during any trip however caused. Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience have preferred agreements with accommodation providers however cannot always guarantee your first choice of accommodation.
15. Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience reserves the right to refuse to carry any passenger, luggage or goods without giving any reason.
16. Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience will not be liable for the sickness, injury or death to any passengers, loss of or damage of any personal effects, whether caused by Kiwi Experience or Feejee Experiences negligence or otherwise. The purchaser of this ticket and passenger jointly and severally agree to indemnify Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience against liability to any person on whose behalf the ticket was purchased.
17. Where the services of another operator are provided for in this ticket it is agreed and understood that Kiwi Experience and Feejee Experience is acting only as an agent for the passenger to arrange such services and accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any default of that operator.
18. Child fares for coach tickets under 15 years old, 50% of the full rate for Kiwi Experience. Child fares for Feejee Experience may vary. Passengers under 18 years must travel with their legal parent(s), spouse or guardian. There must be at least 1 adult per 2 under 18 year olds travelling. Identification may be requested.
19. Unlimited Travel. Unlimited Travel is available only on Kiwi Experience National Passes purchased from 01 April 2008, validated as ‘Unlimited Travel’ on the Kiwi Experience pass/PNR. Unlimited Travel is available on core sectors only and excludes Top Bit, East As, Bottom Bus, Waitomo Wanderer and any other sectors operated by an external supplier to Kiwi Experience. Unlimited Travel is subject to availability with first time sector users having first priority i.e. Unlimited Travel is on a ‘Space Available’ basis only. Unlimited Travel is valid for 12 months, as per the standard Kiwi Experience pass validity. The unlimited travel pass user is entitled to reuse the pass for repeat travel, provided that travel follows the fixed route stipulated on the pass type. i.e. Unlimited Travel cannot be used for repeat, back-to-back travel on any specific sector. As per point 7 above, passes are non-transferable and identification must be presented to the driver for repeat sectors. Kiwi Experience reserves the right to cancel unlimited travel without reason. Failure to adhere to these conditions will result in the passenger being liable for any sectors travelled.
