The Milford Explorer trip is a must-do for those visiting the South Island. Travel through to Milford Sound with Kiwi Experience and experience the wonder of the Homer Tunnel, gigantic waterfalls, and amazing, breathtaking scenery. We depart Queenstown early and travel through to Te Anau for a quick morning tea stop and to pick up any extra passengers, then it is onto Milford Sound checking out the most amazing scenery in NZ along the way. Once you arrive in Milford, you will go on a two hour boat cruise through the fiords with Milford Red Boats; spend time on the look out for the odd dolphin, seal or penguin; learning about the history and Maori legends of the majestic Milford Sound; and see the mountain peaks seemingly soar by over you as you continue your unforgettable cruise through the Sound. In summer you have the option to jump off in Milford to spend a night or two, or spend some time walking the infamous Milford Track. On returning from the cruise, we travel back through Te Anau to Queenstown. Provided the weather (and bank balance!) permits, you do have the option of flying back to Queenstown.
