River Valley
A unique adventure lodge situated on the edge of the Rangitikei River, surrounded towering cliffs and bush clad hills. This location offers some of the best white water rafting and horse-riding in NZ as well as a fantastic roast dinner!
Lake Mahinapua Hotel
A traditional West Coast pub - affectionately know to us the "Poo Pub". Check out Lake Mahinapua, the wild West Coast beach, Glow-worms after dark (take a torch...) and a group meal cooked by your Driver Guide acting as a chef for the night!
Rangitukia (East As pass)
Positioned right on the very East of the East Cape, Eastender Farm Stay is one of the first places to see the sun rise each morning. Enjoy a traditional hangi (Maori feast) while sitting round the bonfire and join in with the locals singing and strumming on their guitars. Horse riding here is an awesome experience - trek up into the hills for spectacular views of the beach and surrounding mountains & go for a gallop along a deserted beach if you're keen. You can also make your own bone-carving with Len while he tells you some interesting stories about life on the East Cape.
Te Kaha Lodge Homestay (East As pass)
The hospitality provided by the O'Brien family and friends at Te Kaha Lodge is over-whelming. Swim in the sea, take the dogs for a walk on the beach, go fishing and enjoy an awesome homecooked dinner (usually including fresh seafood caught that day). Wind down by relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine and watching the sun go down. You won't want to leave!
