There are so many things to do in New Zealand, it would be easy to spend a year here and STILL find yourself with a list of activities you've not yet tried or places you've not yet visited. But if you're on a tight schedule and want to have a truly Kiwi experience, then we've got a couple of packages that will fit the bill. You're only job is first to pick either North Island or South Island to explore and we'll take care of the rest. Our packages guarantee you'll make the most out of your flying visit to New Zealand, with the best activities on offer, whether you're with us for 5 days or 30 days.

We've flipped a coin and our list of must-dos starts in the North Island (Don't worry! Our list of South Island must-dos will follow shortly!) For those of you who are looking for a package that is under 10 days, you could choose the Geyserland & Lake package, a trip that takes you from Auckland to Taupo and back again in 6 days (or more - depending on your schedule). For those who have up to 10 days to play with, try the Northern Round-Up package, a 10 day trip which takes you further down to Wellington (although again, there is always the opportunity to extend your trip if time allows!)

Right. Are you ready? Let's start off in Auckland, where our lovely Kiwi driver guides will pick you up. Here is our run down of must-dos on a tight schedule…

If you flew into Auckland a little early, head over to the city's tallest building, the Auckland Sky Tower. This offers a great opportunity to soak in the glorious views when you head to the top and walk the edge of the building's pergola with the SkyWalk OR if you've already got the thirst for adventure, jump the 192 metres back down to earth with the SkyJump.

Ready for more? Ok, time to head over the Kiwi Experience office in Auckland where you'll meet your new friends and your wonderful bus driver, who'll be not only your driver but your guide and bestie for the course of your trip.

They'll kick start Day 1 by driving down to Cathedral Cove, one of the most picturesque spots in the North Island aka perfect opportunity to upload a few envy-inducing photos onto Facebook and Instagram.

We'll then carry on round to Hot Water Beach – voted one of the top ten beaches in the world by Lonely Planet. At low tide, head out to dig out your very own hot pool in the sand. Talk about your own personal spa break.

Next up is the magnificent Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Expert guides will offer commentary during this magical experience. If you've caught the adventure bug, this is when you'll get the chance to experience black water rafting. Yes you read that right. Black water rafting. Abseil, weave, jump, climb and flat your way through the Waitomo Caves with The Legendary Water Rafting Co.

By now it's time to take a step into a different land and time with an exploration of Hobbiton. You don't need to be a die-hard Lord of the Rings fan to be enchanted by this movie set- and those who know their LOTR and The Hobbit films will appreciate all the hotspots- The Green Dragon Inn, The Mill and the Hobbit Holes.

That evening, you'll get the amazing opportunity to stay overnight at Tamaki Marae, where you'll dive deep into traditional Maori culture, learning their customs and protocols, enjoy a hangi (a Maori feast) and a concert in the village. If you're after a fully emersive experience, Kiwi Experience passengers can opt for the overnight Marae stay.

After your night at Tamaki Marae, you'll head over to Taupo where adrenaline junkies can fall 12,000ft out of the sky over at Lake Taupo, seeing snowcapped volcanoes on the way down. You can also try a spot of bungy jumping, jet boating and sailing. Taupo's not called the adventure capital of the North Island for nothing!

For those of you who booked the Geyserland and Lake package, this'll be the point where you turn around and head back (via Rotorua, which we will touch upon again later!) However, for those of you spending longer in North Island we'll head down towards River Valley, the ultimate adventure lodge: yes, it's another adventure-packed day for you! For those of you who don't fancy rafting down the Rangitikei River, why not enjoy the scenic horse riding or a spot of golf? In the evening, realx by the fire and soak up the gorgeous surroundings with a hearty roast dinner.

Wellington, our capital of cool will see you reach the end of our whistle-stop tour of the North Island. Your driver guide will drive you back to Auckland via Taupo and Rotorua. For a relaxing end to your journey, hang out at the Polynesian Spa for a few hours of relaxing by soaking in a thermally heated pool.

Even with a small timeframe, it's perfectly possible to get an action-packed time in New Zealand with Kiwi Experience. And now that we've whet your appetite, stay tuned for a round-up of top things to do in South Island. Welcome to Kiwi Experience - adventure is calling you!
