Lots of fun!

Fantastic! Very well organised... I travelled in the winter so it was not too busy. I loved the hop on- hop off system and it worked very well.

What a trip

8 hour trek doing the tongariro crossing, one of the hardest and most rewarding activities on the kiwi bus!

On the whole a great way to see NZ:)

I purchased the Rangi pass before I started travelling. My first trip with Kiwi was up to the bay of islands. Jarrad- the driver was very knowledgeable and its was a good start to the Kiwi experience. From then I stayed on the bus doing all the North Island and the south as far as Kaikora. Positives- good way to see NZ if short on time or solo traveller Good offers on activities and the range offered is good- something for everything Negatives- relies too much on base hostels (often not the best deal), sometimes its like being on a school trip (though many people are young so maybe thats the reason) There are a couple of stops that don't quite make sense. For example- Wellington- you get to Wellington late and leave early the next morning Wellington is a nice city and worth spending half a day or a couple of days there. From Wellington you get the ferry and go to Kaiteriteri which is also a really nice place but again you don't get a lot of time there. From there you go to Westport which is not a nice place and the activities were called off- because it is winter. No idea why the stop is there. It would make more sense in the winter to go cross the ferry in the afternoon stay overnight in Picton and then go to Kaiteriteri and skip Westport. I stayed in Picton and it was lovely- good hikes and things to do. In Wanaka you stop at puzzling world for 1hr30. 10 mins down the road there is a shooting range and mini golf, driving range. This would be a much better stop giving people the opportunity to do more activities. Rob was the driver for the most part of my trip- he was great, informative without talking too much and was a good laugh. I also liked Sparrow and Jarrad. I had James for the beginning of my trip- he was lovely and would do anything to help you he just needs to chill out a little. He obviously knows the job and NZ but he's quite forgetful so he is very off and on the mic with bits he forgot

Kiwi Adventure

Great mode of transport but sadly drivers push too much information/activities on the road. Plus most kiwi drivers are very rude and cocky!!

Epic road trip

So happy I chose to explore New Zealand with the kiwi experience! It was so easy to just sit back and relax and enjoy the views along the way, signing up for activities and places to stay on the day with no hassle whatsoever. Also got the chance to meet some great people, including the kiwi drivers.

Awesome to see the main sights of New Zealand!

I have been travelling throughout New Zealand with the Rangi Buspass and added Cape Reinga and Milford Sound to it, so I have been everywhere with Kiwi Experience besides the Deep South. I had an awesome time overall and met a lot of cool people. Though I personally used it as a hop-on and hop-off bus, which meant that I never stayed with the same group of people since I had been staying longer in places for work etc.. Overall Kiwi Experience is a great way to get around conviniently to see all the famous spots New Zealand has to offer. If you are looking for hidden spots or really want to experience a place, definitely stay longer in a city than your bus.

Wonderful experience

I was recommended the Kiwi Experience by my travel agent, and even before I arrived in New Zealand I had heard so many great things about it. It is so easy to use and really sets the perfect setting for meeting people from all over the world.

Enjoyable time

For a person that travels solo using public transport and would never actively join a tour I was highly impressed by the service and thoroughly enjoyed my time.
