Good way to see everything and meet people. Best driver, made the whole experience! Only thing could be range of activities to accommodate for bad weather/ large group size, so people don't miss out - range of indoor and outdoor activities where possible, even if just games the driver could bring.

Great way to meet people and travel both islands in New Zealand for a first time traveler. Provides easy access to activities and creates a good atmosphere. Almost all the stops have good activities and options for low budget travelers. Stops at River Valley and Lake Mahinapua are great fun and drivers are very knowledgeable. Would recommend booking extra nights in Rotorua, Wellington, Abel Tasman and Wanaka to get sufficient time to explore and do activities. However, there were some areas that could be of concern; hop on/hop off becomes near impossible during peak months of summer, sometimes feels like a school trip, some stops such as Wellington arrive late and leave early giving near to no time there. Finally there were occasions where activities signed up for on clipboards were then fully booked meaning that you were unable to do it even though it is said to be "guaranteed". Sometimes cheaper to book accommodation independently as KiwiEx price turns out to be more expensive, despite claiming to be best price.

This makes it so easy and comfortable to experience an amazing country! And I’ve met so many beautiful friends. I also loved getting to visit places like River Valley, and all the day hikes. The only thing that we would have wanted to know was that it can be tricky to hop off. So we should have set our itenirary before leaving home. ... I’d also like to give an extra Thumbs up for the driver Dallas, you’re awesome!

New Zealand is beautiful and a kiwi bus trip is a good way to experience it. But you don't get so much too see as when you are hitch hiking or driving by your own

Overall, I had a great experience with Kiwi and I got to see the things I had planned to see. The drivers, especially Rob, were great, funny and they gave some good advises. However, I have to say that if you are travelling alone, wanting to get out and see stuff, and if you are not really into partying, Kiwi may not be the best solution for you. The crowd mainly consists of young people (18-22) who likes to go out pretty much all the time and be hungover the following day. Besides that, you will spend 1/3 of your time in NZ on a bus instead of actually seeing things, which I found a bit sad. But overall, my experience was great and I would recommend Kiwi.

I loved going on the kiwi bus and everything is made so easy for you with booking on the bus and most of the drivers know it inside and out. Such a social experience as well and most of the drivers are excited to get involved too! Could not recommend Kiwi experience enough. I have the most amazing memories of New Zealans thanks to Kiwi Experience

I had a great time with Kiwi experience on my tour. The staff in the office was really helpful, bus drivers were friendly and did their best to organize everything and answer any questions we had no matter how silly! I think this is a great way to experience New Zealand if it is your first visit because the Kiwi tour really covers most major places you’d want to visit and offers a bunch of activities. They can also offer you accomodation because of the arangements they have with certain hostels which guarantee you have a room if you are on the bus. Down side is that it is not always as flexible as they say, especially if you travel during peak season. This can mean that you can’t always have the exact number of nights at one place as you’d like because the buses for the next couple of days are filled meaning you either can’t extend your stay or have to extend it much longer than you intended. This can be avoided by some preparation and good planing before the trip but it’s definetly something to keep in mind. Also you are on the move almost every day which can get a bit tiring after a while but if you want to see as much as possible it is absolutely the right way to go. Dispite these smaller problems it was an amazing experience thanks to which I made a lot of new friends from all around the world and I would definetly recommend Kiwi Experience to everyone who comes to New Zealand!

Our pass was The Whole Kit and Kaboodle and we honestly had the greatest time i wish i was still there now, we met great people on the buses and the drivers were brilliant and fantastic characters. Every day was enjoyable and never dull. If I come back to NZ id go with kiwi again.

Convenient travel around nz. At first was pleased about the low price but seems so cheap everyone does it so was too busy over the summer months! More full of 18-22 year olds who were more interested in the free wifi . some of the hostels were lovely (the more smaller business and holiday parks) but the Base and Nomads were bad! Would definitely prebook other hostels to stay away from them, they're dirty and don't deserve all the money kiwi passengers are paying to stay there. The drivers are great and know a lot about the areas and give a lot of good commentary and make sure you stop at lovely places for photos, lunch breaks etc. Nancy and Pinky deserve a big shout out as they were awesome and made the journeys a lot of fun. The activities are also dealt with well with the drivers making all the bookings for you. Overall thought there would have been more of a sociable aspect to the kiwi experience but good and cheap way to get around if that's all you're looking for.

This is honestly one of the best ways to see New Zealand & I would highly recommend to anyone! The drivers are always happy to help & full of knowledge. Myself & my boyfriend were on the kiwi experience buses for 6 weeks & we met so many amazing people & have made some lifetime memories. Thank you Kiwi Experience!
