The trip was great, we did some really cool stuff but the drivers were very mixed. Some were amazing (Lisa and Simon) and some just seemed like they didn't want to be there (Rick and a few others). It was a shame as would have had no complaints if all the drivers had been like the good ones!

The kiwi experience was one of the best months of my life. We met the most incredible people, saw breathtaking scenery and did things I never thought I'd do in a million years!

Great choice if you don't want to drive by your self. But you need to have a NZ SIM card so you can call the kiwi experience office everyday. And look up everything you want to do before you start so you can tell the driver direct.

I bought the full pass 6 weeks ago since I wanted to see as much as possible and also to be clear about the budget. Drivers gave very useful information and made the trip as much fun as possible. They really care to give everyone a good experience and make you comfort like a buddy friend.

Had an awesome time. Kiwi experience is makes traveling around New Zealand super easy. Only thing I would say is that the hostels we stay at are a little complacent - e.g. no free wifi, a little more expensive than the places nearby

I really enjoyed travelling with kiwi experience. But sometimes it is good to stay somewhere longer and get away of the bus. It is sometimes a bit stressy to be on such a tiny area with so many people. But that is only how i experienced it.

I had a long time in New Zealand, so the flexibility of spending as long as you want in each place was perfect for me. All the drivers I had were helpful, knowledgable and best of all fun! Special mentions go to Dave (cuddles) and most of all to Luke. It was his first trip and he was so well organised and knowledgable that it seemed like he had done it for ages!

I have just returned home after the most amazing kiwi experience! The bus pass i travelled with was the 'fush n chups' bus pass, which takes you all the way up to the top of the north island, around the the north island and the South Island, and back up again to wherever you started. I was initially quite nervous about my trip, as I wasn't 100% on how the tour would work, and I was travelling on my own. The bus drivers are really helpful however, and booking on various different tours, trips and activities was really easy and straight forward, and you can do it as you go. There are also various cheaper or free activities and hikes available at various stops , so you don't ALWAYS have to spend lots of money! The whole trip around New Zealand was completely amazing, I did it in a month, and there is never one moment that you look out of the window and don't see outstanding views all around you. The trips and activities on offer are all brilliant, my favourites being the waitomo glow worm caving, dolphin watching in the bay of islands, the maouri cultural experience evening, hobbiton, and the luging and canyon swing in queenstown. The tongariro crossing hike is also well worth it, beautiful views, and an amazing sense of achievement when you finish! The only reason I've given four stars and not five, is that the hop on and hop situation is not quire as flexible as advertised, however i do understand that this is due to popularity and numbers in the buses. You do have to be quite organised and make sure you are booked on all relevant buses ahead of schedule to ensure your place. To all travellers considering kiwi, do it!!!! I've made some lovely friends and had some unforgettable experiences. Highly recommend :)

I bought the kiwi experience tour 3 days before I went to NZ. Just decided 3 days before I went to NZ, that I was going to NZ. It was an impulsive trip. I didn't do any research. But is was a great, fun, lovely and the best experience ever! I was travelling for 4 months and I went to different countries. But I like NZ the most and Kiwiexperience was the best way to see it all!

The kiwi bus takes you to many great places & you meet some lovely people on the bus. The flexibility to change plans is fantastic too. If you don't want to do much research, but want to see some of the highlights NZ has to offer, this is a great choice. If you're only looking to do minimum time, you will spend a lot of time on the bus & get up before 8 most days.
