I had the best 3 weeks ever travelling around New Zealand with the Kiwi Experience. Before booking my bus pass, I was nervous about travelling on my own but as soon as I got on my first bus in Christchurch I realized that there was lots of fun like-minded solo travelers like me on the bus. The drivers were really helpful in sorting out accommodation, booking activities and giving advice on best places to go. Thanks to my drivers Arias, Guy & Guy, Fraser and Ben, you guys were always up for a laugh and you made our trip really fun! I met so many lovely people and seen beautiful places and I know that only happened because I was travelling with Kiwi Experience, I would recommend this to anyone who is young, fun and adventurous.

I travelled 1 month with Kiwi Experience in New Zealand and i really enjoyed it. It was the best way to get from one place to another and to get to know some people especially when you travel by yourself.

The kiwi experience was a really good way to get around New Zealand as a young (18-25) backpacker. They stop off at beautiful places, sort out your first nights accommodation and help out with activities meaning you have to do minimal prep. I think they would really benefit from having an app. One of the selling points of kiwi is that you’re flexible and can make it your own trip however in peak season it was hard to change buses in certain places, and if there was an app available telling you how many spaces the bus in front has I think it would encourage people to be more flexible. Drivers were great, very informative, friendly and funny.

Had an amazing time! An experience I would never forget. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to travel around New Zealand as a backpacker.

It’s not very flexible in the summer when you have to book everything in advance but it’s a good idea and I assume it would work very well in slower seasons.

I bought the kiwi bus ticket as I really wanted to travel New Zealand but didn’t want to make my own way around. Safe to say the kiwi experience bus helped me! Great way to meet people you might not in a hostel travelling on your own and it takes you to the best places all over NZ. I was a bit worried about being a 27 year old on the bus as I’d heard it might be a younger crowd. Safe to say I was proved wrong and met loads of people my age (and younger who were equally as nice!). Would definitely recommend doing the kiwi experience bus to anyone who wants to travel on their own!

I bought my pass in August and had been so excited to get started, and when I finally did it didn’t disappoint! So much fun, seeing lots of beautiful places doing awesome activities and meeting some fun new people.

Overall, the whole trip felt like a schooltrip, with a bunch of 18 year olds. It shouldn't be called a hop-on/hop-off bus, there are no flexibility at all, you will get put on a waitlist if you change your itenirary. But it is an easy way to travel, you don't need to think or plan anything.

SO glad I chose KIWI, when I got off the bus at the end of my trip I was sad and would've happily got back on and to do it all over again!
