Travelled New Zealand, both islands, for 5 weeks and it's the best thing I could have done.

Superb experience. Seen loads of cool things and learned lots of new things. Only critique is one of our drivers was abit forceful on doing every activity.

I enjoyed the tour. The best thing was that the tour around included walks in really cool places. Your experience depends on the driver heavily and some are more social than others. Some places feel forced like Lake Mahinapua & Puzzling World.

it was just a 10/10 experience. Cowboy was the best thing to happen to Kiwi. Also the trips are really fun (but like less walks plz) 10/10 spend your life savings

Mighty Moa Pass Overall I did enjoy my kiwi experience. It was a good was to see a large amount of the country in a short period of time. Good activities on offer. Our bus driver Jacob was very informative and organized. I did feel however that there were numerous unnecessary stops. Particularly on the South Island. It would be better if you changed the stops for the wintertime as we count not undertake any of the activities in Kaiteriteri (dreadful hostel by the way- no common area and kitchen tiny) or Westport. Lake Mahinapua was also a stop in the middle of nowhere - it was obvious that kiwi experience just had a deal with them to bring customers to drink. These three days could have been better spent elsewhere. I also thought that some of the stops during the day were unnecessary I.e the 30 breakfast stop. It should be made clear on your website that the bus stops in each place overnight. I thought you could stay on the bus and it would continue on to another stop, meaning you can skip places. Also please make it clear that I’m winter time buses don’t run everyday. The standard of accommodation was very varied. Base and Nomads hostels are of such a low standard. They are dirty. Please review your connection with them. Good places included River Valley and Franz Josef.

Kiwi was really the perfect way to see the best of the whole country

I brought the trip a awhile back and was explained that it would be a hop on hop off with buses running everyday. Unfortunately this was not the case so made the trip hard with timings. However it was a great experience where I made loads of friends the best driver I had by far was Jacob as he provided the commentary in the most entertaining way. At times I felt like I was on a school trip being forced to stay in places that I would have rather missed. I would have rather had afternoon stops at some of these places and had more time in Wellington considering it’s the capital! But overall it was one of the best experiences of my life where I met great friends!!

The kiwi experience was awesome! Such a great and flexible way to experience New Zealand. Dylan was most commonly the bus driver on the buses that I took and he was so amazing. His sheer enthusiasm, pride and knowledge of his country was inspiring and made the trip so much more magical. Just a couple of things that were minor, but misleading. The Kiwi Experience website stated that there’s a “garenteed bed” in each location on the tour. My friend and I thought that meant that accommodation was included in our pricing for the trip, which we quickly discovered was not true. A guaranteed bed meant that there would be a spot held for you if required. Another bit of miscommunication was that we believed that buses would do pickups daily from each location, which is true for summer periods, however during winter buses would only pass through every 3 days, which forced my friend and I to change our flights out of New Zealand to fit in our new schedule. Again just minor things that should be better explained. All in all, I’d recommend Kiwi Experience to anyone !

Had heard great things from pals so had to book!!!

This experience has been great mainly due to the people I’ve been able to meet. I’ve really enjoyed how easy kiwi experience make your trip and it’s easy to get information or change your plans. One thing I would suggest for improvement would be to have more nights spent on the west coast of the South Island in the minimum time. It went a little too quickly and I think my whole bus would have enjoyed an extra night in Wanaka or frans Joseph. We knew we could hop off but we didn’t want to leave the bus! Generally though, I’ve had the best time.
