As a 23 year old British guy, I brought my Pass half expecting to be surrounded by 18year olds on their gap yahs. I need not have worried. The bus encompasses a wide demographic of people from all across the world, with the majority being between 23 and 26. The process of starting the bus journey was really easy and hassle free. I’d recommend getting an NZ SIM card in order to call the office to make amendments to your itenary rather than email, it’s a lot quicker and you get immediate clarification of changes. The hostels are extremely easy to book as the bus driver will pass around a clip board where you’ll be asked to notify whether you need accommodation or not. All details of the accommodations are on the app which is certainly recommend downloading before you arrive. All accommodation costs between $28 and $35. The same process of signing up for activities is done through the clip board system and the driver will give a good explanation over the microphone. The bus drivers are extremely outgoing and knowledgable. Other my time we had; Richie, Emily, Corey and Murray. All of our drivers were fantastic and went a long way to making sure the trip ran as smoothly as it did and certainly improved the experience. All in all, I can’t think of a better way of seeing NZ.

Bus drivers are generally super helpful and knowledgeable and looking to make sure your trip is the best it can be, the destinations across the tour have great hostels that offer a lovely environment and the activities are often discounted through kiwi experience so that’s awesome, just overall a fun experience

Kiwi experience was unbelievable. They make everything so easy, from transport to booking activities. Definitely worth doing.

Me and my travel buddy bought the funky chicken pass to explore the north and South Island and absolutely loved it! Kiwi makes it super easy for you to make the most of your experience, all you gotta think about is what activities you want to do! Also, the drivers know heaps about the country so make us of that and ask them anything:) 100% recommend for people who are looking for a fun filled, social, easy and complete tour around this wonderful country!

My boyfriend and I travelled with kiwi experience for just over three weeks both North and South Island and it was fab!

Easy way to get around and met people! Met some awesome people that I'm gonna keep contact with. And the bus driver (rob) was awesome! He was funny and really made my trip a lot easier by booking activities and were really helpful! Super happy I choose kiwi experience and I would absolutely recommend it to my friends!

Easy way to travel nz and make lots of friends. Perfect for a lazy traveller as everything can be booked on the bus and loads of activities to get involved in. Just need to plan ahead for places you want extra nights!
