Gave us the flexibility to go where we wanted and when we wanted and didn't have to keep unpacking and packing as we would had we used hotels and motels. It was so comfortable and had everything we needed.

This was my second time on the bus after stopping in Paihia where I worked and lived for three months exploring all parts of the bay possible. Anna was amazing, such a wonderful person and very helpful with everything we needed, care highly about the environment which also speaks to me personally on a high level! The group was filled with great people, really enjoyed spending time with everyone and since it was smaller group we came close to each and everyone, just so so good! Experienced my first two weeks on the bus in the end of January/Beginning of February on the north and it was for sure more hectic, maybe due to all the people and not as enjoyable even though I saw a lot of amazing places even then. Barely time to eat so I was starving for two weeks and I'm car sick, sure doesn't help in the hills leading up to my second home. This time happy and well fed girl from Wellington all the way to Q-town for suuuure!!!!

While there are lots of options for traveling (backpacking) New Zealand, traveling with the Kiwi Experience is an action packed adventure with lots of things to see and to do on a daily basis. Going from city to city in a bus full of like-minded people makes you bound have all your activities together with friends. They claim to be hop-on hop-hop off, but by choosing the default amount of days per city, you'll end up with lots of the same people on a semi-daily basis. While it is not mandatory to do all the activities, you will find yourself doing most of them. The Kiwi Experience itself is of high quality. The buses are new, clean and the drivers are fun and full of knowledge. The reserved accommodations are good and the special ones are great. The guides, routes, activities and and hikes are all well-documented and repeated throughout the journey, so you will never miss anything which is offered. I'd say once in a lifetime and definitely the way to go if you're up for it!

We travelled in the Mercedes Sprinter. To drive, it was exceptional. Comfort wise, it was perfect for us and all the essentials provided.

The ideal way to see all of New Zealand at a low cost.

the route meant you could see most of the country and you could do it with the know how of the drivers. I think the base hostels are terrible, smaller local hostels would be much better.

I only went on the 6 day tour but as soon as I started I wanted to carry on so badly! It was so much fun, you stop off at some incredible places and see some really amazing views. You get really close with some of the people on the bus with you even though people are getting on and off which is really nice. Theres no pressure to do any activities but so many to chose from and they're all worth it! You do need to have quite a bit of spending money though if you want to get the most out of it and do as much as you can. The bus driver was a laugh and everyone had such a good time, I've recommended it to everyone since I've been home.
