Kiwi has mad my travels so much easier and enjoyable

I am travelling by myself and booked this before coming to New Zealand. It was such a good decision as it was such an easy way to make friends and really good for seeing as much as New Zealand as possible in a short time. Our driver was amazing, so funny and full of information about everything we drove past.

The Kiwi Experience on the whole is a fantastic 'Bus tour' with many positives - guaranteed accomodation, well explained by drivers, informative, takes you everywhere, relaxed, good fun and I could go on! I had an amazing 6 weeks in New Zealand and would do it again in a heartbeat. However there are a few things that could be improved... firstly the advertisement of minimum time is a little deceiving. This would be better off being advertised as minimum travel time as that is literally what it is. If you do the trip on minimum time you spend such a huge proportion of your trip sat on the bus and only seeing the places for the afternoon or evening. In places like Wellington this was the worst I felt as those on minimum time didn't even get to see the capita city in day light! I know Kiwi Experience don't recommend doing minimum time but many customers do not realise that just because the bus stops there it doesn't mean you'll get any proper time there. Instead a more generous minimum time should be advertised for the routes to allow customers to actually appreciate New Zealand and all it's beauty. As many will base their flights off these 'minimum times'. Another location I was slightly upset about was Abel Tasman/Kaiteriteri. Although I was not travelling on minimum time I didn't have all the time in the world so this is one of the stops I had to stay just the one night as I couldn't afford to spare 3. After studying the app i knew we didn't leave the hostel till late morning so I had planned before arriving that I would wake up early and head off to the national park on a walk. On arrival I soon realised we were a whopping 10km away from the national park and this would not be possible, so I had to scrap my plan and missed out on seeing the national park. I do know there are trips available in the morning but as I am a budget traveller i prefer to walk to parks etc. I believe this stop is a slight misadvertisement as it is advertised that you go to Abel Tasman but really it's Kaiteriteri, so either the hostel should be changed to Abel Tasman or the advertisement should be. The drivers are a real credit to the company, especially Dylan, Toddy and Ben. They really do make a trip what it is. We only actually had Ben for our final leg into Christchurch but he was great.

My boyfriend and I have had the best time ever on kiwi experience! The activities have been so varied and nz is a beautiful place. Our amazing bus driver Ben made long bus journeys fun and really made the trip for us!

Was recommended the kiwi experience by a friend and it was the best decision of my travels. I chose the whole kit and caboodle which gave me a lot of flexibility. We had THE BEST driver Helly. She made mine and my new friends trips. Helly and Emily made our trips!

I had the best time on Kiwi. Met so many amazing people and all of the stops were well organized and really showed me the best highlights of the country! Bus drivers were hilarious and knowledgeable!
