Stress free way to travel NZ!

Met an amazing group of now very close friends, it was so easy to book all activities and accommodation through the bus. Definately is what you make it so get involved and do it!

We'd wonderful experience in NZ and this was only because Kiwi experience team is so well organised and helpful. We loved each place We've been and I can't highly recommend the tour and New Zealand. Best country & best bus tour ever! Thank you Kiwi experience

pros & cons :)

For an amateur/inexperienced traveller, or experienced traveller wishing to meet people and not have to do a lot of planning, Kiwi Experience is a good choice! I chose to do the South & Sound route, which worked best for the amount of time I had (I'm a student from the United States studying in New Zealand for the semester, and I did this trip over my term break). Pros: met so many awesome people, got to explore interesting places, didn't have to do a lot of planning, learned a bit more about different parts of the country. Cons: it's not unreasonably priced but it's not cheap, especially if you're a student with a budget! Also, many of the places we went were a bit touristic, which is not always a bad thing but these are the places that everyone tends to visit, and so they can be a bit crowded and/or commercial. You might not mind this, but I tend to prefer quieter places where everyone isn't trying to sell you stuff, and where you don't have to spend a lot of money to do fun things (Queenstown was the worst for this, unless you have a car or bike to go outside the town). Also, I would recommend looking ahead of time at the hostels in each location, because although Kiwi Experience guarantees accomodation for the first night at all of the hostels they are partnered with, some of these hostels are a bit commercial and not very "homey," or don't have much character. Again, this is just my personal preference. If you have more time and the resources to do it, I'd also highly recommend staying more than the minimum amount of time in each place and going to nearby attractions or places a bit further off the map! I enjoyed every place we stopped, but if I'd had more time it would have been nice to explore and get to know the areas better. Overall, travelling with Kiwi was an excellent experience, especially when you have a good bus driver and fellow passengers! The people were what made this trip for me.

Pretty cool

I bought the tiki trip a few days before I started for half price - which meant it was good value for what I got. Was happy to find out Milford sound was also part of the ticket.
