Kiwi experience was a fantastic way to start off traveling alone. It really gives you a feel for the country and travleing alone. The drivers were amazing probably 95% of the time. Regardless though I loved my experience

I was on Kiwi experience for 2 months on "The whole kit caboodle". I found it was a good way to travel through the country for a couple of reasons; 1. Friendly, entertaining and experienced drivers. The drivers are often from New Zealand and can tell interesting/relevant/insider, information and stories about the area/town/city that you otherwise would not have known (if you travel by regular bus or by rental car). They also know what places are good to stop for; a walk, for lunch or cheap supermarkets, in good time. 2. Easy to book good activities/accommodation/group activities. As you are closing in to a city/town they hand out a clipboard with accommodation and activities as well as give a bit information about the different options. Then you just tick in what you want to do and where you want to stay (if you stay at the recommended hostel you automatically have a room, otherwise they let you know when it is a good time to book in advance). When you get the clipboard you can just see what other people are doing/staying and group up and do things together. You automatically get into a group of people who are interested in doing the same type of things as you. Very nice 3. You can travel hangover! As everyone is going of on the same places and you have a driver you can sleep as much as you want on the way and be fresh for when you arrive 4. Freedom. As you travel you can choose if you want to run with the program on minimum days or stay a couple of extra days (or even take a break to earn some more money before you continue).

I bought my ticket in Australia. I did the funky chicken tour and spend one month in New-Zealand. I had such an amazing time, beautiful countrie, great trip, nice people, good driver/tour guides, just the best time!

I finished my kiwi experience a few weeks ago and I miss it so much! Made so many friends and shared so many beautiful experiences. Super easy if you're travelling alone because you make friends in one second. New Zealand is a beautiful place And kiwi experience was the best way for me to explore it, and I sure did :)

Realla glad to have chosen Kiwi Experience for my first trip in New Zealand. Visited amazing places in both North an south islands and met lots of nice people. Good experience with drivers, hostels and activities booked through Kiwi. Worth it, easy to organise.

After I've been to New Zealand already in 2014, it has pulled me there again, to see something new and to rediscover something new. Like two years ago, this time I traveled the country on the bus from Kiwi. This time, however, came the North with the Bays of Islands and the Deep South. Dunedin and Nelson I should have stayed longer, since both are great cities, where more is possible. The hostel Prinz Albert in Nelson has a very positive impression with me.

I absolutely loved every minute of my Kiwi Experience tour. Every day was packed full of activities and exciting places. I always knew that New Zealand was a pretty country however nothing could actually prepare me for the sheer beauty I experienced at every single destination the bus stopped at. My personal favourite was Queenstown, or as they call it 'The Adrenaline Capital' I am still getting over the shock of jumping from a 134m ledge over a canyon - what a way to conquer your fears! The drivers were extremely knowledgeable and are always up for a good laugh, some even play games and have competitions on board to keep you entertained on those long journeys. I was very lucky to meet many people who I will continue to be the best of friends with when I am back home. I met them on day one and we continued our journey all throughout New Zealand together. We had some fantastic nights out here, there and every where - We still laugh at the drunken mishaps even now! I travelled for approximately 2 months which, in my opinion was a decent amount of time to do the tour over. Trust me, you do not want to rush this. I took my time and enjoyed each and every place (especially Queenstown). As for the Kiwi experience scheduling team, they were very organised and helpful when it came to phoning them up and changing any part of your itinerary. I will definitely be recommending Kiwi Experience to anyone who wishes to travel New Zealand. It truly was non stop fun, adventure and excitement from day one!

I was dubious about doing this trip and it was a slow start for me but I'm so happy with everything now!

I really enjoyed my trip with the kiwi bus, great stopover, great atmosphere !
