Very well planned experience and generally a cost-effective way to see New Zealand. The drivers you get make all the difference, providing good commentary and generally being friendly and approachable. We had Giggles for the majority of our trip and he was amazing, often going above and beyond to help anyone who needed it.

Happy I used Kiwi. Couple of issues - not enough spaces on the buses/not enough running. Some people would have to find their own way between locations. I was lucky enough not o have this problem. It’s also cheaper to book accommodation on your own. However I appreciated the structure and help with organising activities, very little stress in the whole trip. Perfect for a first-time traveller or someone looking for something a bit more structured. Great way to meet other travellers as well!

The North Island is quite good organised, good hostels not too expensive and Kiwi choose good places to stay. I had a really good time on the North Island. But the South Island is just money making, they offer the most expensive hostels, most expensive activities, only parties, they don't tell something about hikes just about the activities which are very expensive and not really backpacker friendly, i am really disappointed.

Was a great experience, however the limited timetable you give is too limited. I would suggest adding more days to the limited timetable you offer. Also the time table I got was not very clear and easy to follow and a lot of people had timetables that were incorrect! The hostel prices you offer were more expensive than pre booking ... should really get better deals! Too many photo stops of the same thing!!

For anyone who is unsure about how to get around, or just wants to meet new people, the kiwi experience is for you. I had so much fun and met people from all over the world, stopping at multiple beautiful locations and seeing the mountainous scenery New Zealand has to offer. All the activities are well priced (as you get a discount being on the kiwi bus) and there’s such a wide variety that there will always be something you want to do.

Definitely pleased a decided to do Kiwi - made my time in NZ so much fun!!

The vehicle is in good condition, and has everything you need. Will definitelh recommend to friends and families!

really enjoyed the bus service especially my bus driver stretch! the only reason why i didn't put 5 stars is caused when booking my bus from Queenstown to Lake Tekapo to Christchurch, I emailed KIWI for like 3 days straight trying to book it. I was on a time crunch because of my flight out of Christchurch and every time i emailed, i ended up speaking to a new person and had to re-explain my sitch every time which got really annoying. finally, when i called and spoke to someone in a higher position i was booked a complimentary intercity bus from Queenstown to Christchurch directly. other than this poor communication and 3/4 day panic, KIWI was pretty amazing.

What an amazing way for me, someone who's traveling alone, to see the wonderful country know as New Zealand! I started out not knowing what to do and how kiwie Ex actually worked. I only booked my first stop on the journey from auckland to hot water beach since that was what my agency told me to do. But when I then suddenly wanted to go to the next location and bus was already full booked, my amazing driver Q went out of his way to really help me! Thanks to him I could stay with the new wonderful people I had met and I had a epic time on the bus!

I got a ticket, but decided to stay longer in abel tasman. thats why i was stuck from this time in every place and needed to go to all the places in another way, because every bus was full and i don‘t had the time to wait to book the next one with space. all in all i got 4 rides on the south island for too much money
